Sue Reimondo
Ph.D., LPCC, RYT 200
Therapist & Yoga Teacher
Sue Reimondo (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 200), and Certified Pilates Basic Mat Instructor. She began working in the mental health field in 2000 after obtaining her doctorate degree (Ph.D.) in Counseling Education from Colorado State University. She has worked primarily in a college setting, retiring as the Director of Counseling and Psychological Services at Berea College in 2023. In 2017, Sue started teaching yoga and meditation as a way to assist others in coming into their bodies and finding healing wisdom from within as a complement to theories of psychology and mental health.
Sue specializes in working with anxiety, stress and overwhelm, depression, transitioning into adulthood, trauma, spiritual exploration and integration, alcohol abuse, and life-purpose issues. She takes a compassionate, non-judgmental, and collaborative approach to therapy. She offers skills to aid the client in connecting with their inner wisdom to promote healing and the creation of the best version of life envisioned by each individual client. In her work, Sue draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Advanced Mindfulness, as well as from person-centered therapy, and Buddhist psychology. Sue will provide a safe space to bring compassion into the healing process while supporting clients in identifying and taking steps toward creating a life they find meaningful and in alignment with their values.
Sue Reimondo loves sharing the practices of yoga, Pilates, and meditation to bring us back into our remarkable bodies and inner wisdom. In 2016, Sue completed instructor training in Koru Mindfulness, a secular approach to mindfulness, offered by the Center for Koru Mindfulness at the University of Louisville, Kentucky. She immediately began to offer courses in Koru and incorporated Koru principles into her therapy approach when appropriate. In 2017, Sue completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at The Om Place. She completed a certification in Basic Mat Pilates in 2018 at Pilates Certification of North Carolina and has been teaching ever since. Sue loves to witness the ways in which yoga, Pilates, and mindfulness bring clients back to a sense of appreciation for their physical bodies and how these practices aid in maintaining good mental health.
Sue is excited to join you on your journey to healing and wholeness.
