Adventure Therapy
Who says therapy has to happen on a couch?
Adventure therapy takes a hands-on approach to mental health, using movement, exploration, creativity, and real-world experiences to support meaningful change.
Whether we're outdoors in nature or trying something new in the office, the goal is the same: to help you discover, practice, and grow in ways that feel meaningful to you.

Adventure therapy is rooted in a simple idea: we learn by doing.
Through intentional, hands-on experiences, adventure therapy creates opportunities to explore emotions, notice patterns, practice new skills, and make meaningful connections to everyday life.

What makes adventure therapy different?
Learn by doing
Hands-on experiences create opportunities to discover insights, practice skills, and carry what you learn into everyday life.
Collaborative challenges
You set the pace. Activities are designed around your goals, comfort level, and choices, with consent and collaboration at every step.
Connect and grow
Shared experiences create space for reflection, emotional awareness, trust, and new ways of relating to yourself and others.

LPCC Therapist

For Amanda, curiosity, exploration, and hands-on learning have always been part of how she connects with the world.
Her love of nature began in childhood, exploring the woods, climbing trees, and discovering the world around her. Her own experiences as a hands-on learner helped shape her appreciation for experiential approaches to growth and healing.
Amanda has completed 42 hours of intensive adventure therapy training and is pursuing her Certified Clinical Adventure Therapist (CCAT) credential through ongoing education, clinical supervision, and direct practice.
