Nicole Sartini
LPCC, NCC, IMHP
Co-founder and Co-owner
Nicole Sartini is Co-founder and Co-owner of Bridge Counseling and Wellness and a nationally recognized leader in mental health advocacy and healthcare reform.
Nicole has spent over two decades in the mental health field, beginning her work in 1999 and practicing as a licensed therapist for many years. Her clinical work focused on supporting people as they navigated the process of unlearning old familial, environmental, and societal conditioning and reconnecting with the core of their being.
Through building and leading Bridge Counseling and Wellness, an integrative mental health center rooted in whole-person care, Nicole developed a deep understanding of both the healing process and the systems that shape access to care.
Over time, it became clear that many of the challenges facing both clients and clinicians are not isolated, but structural. The systems meant to support care are often the very systems limiting access, sustainability, and integrity.
Nicole no longer maintains a therapy caseload and now dedicates her work fully to advancing systemic change in healthcare.
She is the Founder and Executive Director of Build Better Health, a nonprofit organization committed to creating healthcare models that are transparent, sustainable, and rooted in mutually respectful, heart-led care. Through this work, she leads the Mental Health Insurance Reform Task Force, a national, multi-discipline coalition spanning more than 40 states, and is building the People’s Solidarity Fund, an ethical and community-centered alternative to traditional insurance.
Nicole remains deeply connected to the heart of the work. She believes that when we come into right relationship with ourselves, we create the conditions for healing, and when our systems reflect that same level of care, we create the possibility for collective transformation.
Throughout her career, Nicole has been committed not only to individual healing, but to reshaping the environments that make that healing possible.
