Kyle Coma-Thompson

LPCC-S, IMHP

Therapist & Clinical Supervisor

Kyle Coma-Thompson (he/him) is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a lifelong appreciation for how mindfulness practices and forms of creative expression serve as catalysts and supports for personal growth and healing. Kyle’s approach to therapy is strongly informed by his 25+ years of experience as a practitioner of yoga and meditation and his applied interest in the creative arts. His path of development as a clinician in both group and individual settings has provided him opportunities to serve a wide range of client needs, and he has learned a great deal equally from his work with children, adolescents, and adults.

Kyle is trained in EMDR and incorporates elements of Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) along with mindfulness-based forms of treatment such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). His work with adolescents frequently applies techniques from Expressive Therapy and Play Therapy.

Kyle believes that people who seek assistance with mental health concerns contain within themselves the means for confident, self-affirming adaptation to life challenges. Through collaboration with his clients he hopes to help them identify strengths, skills, and resources that are distinctly their own, so they might meet difficulties as they arise and transform them into opportunities for growth, building a life that is meaningful, purposeful, and true to their most deeply held values.
