Jan Rudd

LMFT

Therapist

Jan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 14 years of experience supporting clients through anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, life transitions, career challenges, ADHD, and childhood trauma. Her work is grounded in empathy, validation, and a deep respect for each client’s lived experience.

Jan takes a holistic, client-centered approach, recognizing that every part of life can shape mental well-being. She believes clients are the experts on their own lives and should lead the way in determining what they want to explore. Her role is to listen closely, offer gentle guidance, and collaborate on meaningful solutions that support healing and growth.

After earning her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Miami University of Ohio in 1997, Jan gained experience teaching children and adolescents, working in social work, and serving the LGBTQIA+ community. This inspired her to become a therapist and complete her Master’s degree in Counseling at Stetson University in Florida in 2012, initially specializing in therapy with children. In recent years, she has focused more deeply on supporting young adults and women of various ages.

Jan often works with clients who feel alone, sad, stuck because of trauma or mood concerns, or unsure how to find community and move forward. She is especially passionate about supporting women, young adults, LGBTQIA+ clients, and marginalized individuals facing unique societal pressures. Jan also helps clients heal after toxic romantic relationships that have affected their self-worth, guiding them as they reclaim confidence, restore inner peace, and reconnect with their sense of purpose. She offers telehealth along with afternoon and evening office hours to make care accessible, and she provides a specialized, affirming space for LGBTQIA+ couples’ work.
