Therapist
Navigating change as a teenager or adult has never been more challenging. However, with a better understanding of what we’re going through and the right emotional support, we can grow and more effectively know ourselves. Daniel works diligently to ensure each individual he works with feels heard in a safe, judgment-free zone. Daniel’s goal is to help people feel understood and educated in their lives so they can feel empowered in making healthy and informed decisions.
Daniel (he/him/his) is a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate with a background in college counseling and teen substance use. He has fulfilled many roles in the mental health field since 2021 including being a Community Support Specialist, Targeted Case Manager, and licensed counselor. Daniel completed his M.Ed. in Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College in 2024. He has worked with universities, inpatient facilities, and outpatient community mental health organizations, and has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. Before obtaining his master’s, Daniel worked for university student health centers where he would conduct large-scale surveys to more effectively understand student mental health needs and implement programs to directly address those needs. Daniel also worked as a mental health advocate where he would travel to local schools to help provide mental health resources to both teachers and students.
Daniel specializes in the treatment of anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, boundary building in relationships, teen substance use, mental health education, and life transitions. He has extensive experience with individuals of all ages, and more specifically with teenagers and adults. Daniel utilizes varying evidence-based techniques including cognitive-behavioral, dialectal-behavioral, person-centered, trauma-informed, mindfulness, meditation, and Seven Challenges for teen substance use. Daniel uses these techniques to help people feel understood and empowered in their lives. Daniel would be glad to partner with you to find what strategies would be best fit for you or your child’s well-being!
