Andrés Pinilla-Baquero

Grounded in person-centered and existential approaches, Andrés integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), attachment theory, and strengths-based approaches in his clinical work. He supports clients in processing trauma, managing anxiety and depression, and exploring self-esteem, perfectionism, and burnout. Central to his practice is the belief in the transformative power of radical self-acceptance and self-compassion. He helps clients cultivate a loving, non-judgmental relationship with themselves as a foundation for healing. Through breathwork, grounding techniques, and holistic mind-body-soul integration, Andrés supports clients in exploring existential concerns, meaning-making, identity and authenticity, and discovering their values and life purpose.

Andrés works with individuals across diverse backgrounds and life stages, with special interest in young adults, LGBTQIA+ individuals, first-generation immigrant communities, children aged five and older, and those navigating substance use concerns and trauma.

He maintains a particular interest in psychedelic research and psychedelic-assisted therapy, particularly ketamine-assisted therapy, which he intends to pursue further in his professional development.

Deeply committed to community-centered care, Andrés volunteers with the Kentucky Harm Reduction Coalition (KYHRC), where he engages in education, community outreach, and advocacy. He believes that clinical work and community engagement are inseparable and essential to meaningful mental health services. Andrés aspires to provide therapeutic services in Spanish and is open to co-therapy opportunities with licensed clinicians seeking bilingual support.
