3-Core Integrative is a training program to become a certified Integrative Mental Health Professional with the credentials of IMHP. This model transcends the three most research-backed components of the integrative/holistic approach to mental healthcare: Mindfulness, Movement, and Nutrition. You will learn not only research and theory, but practical tools and interventions you can utilize in your practice.
This course is beneficial for all levels of practice- from the newbie therapist to the senior clinician. We have gathered knowledge from a variety of experts across the spectrum of inclusive mental health and wellness. After taking this course, you will have the knowledge and confidence to utilize innovative, cutting edge interventions, techniques, and resources.

That's why this course is designed to not only help you develop professionally, but personally as well. 3CI offers a comprehensive self-growth workbook for you to use to engage, embody, and integrate the research and guided practices in each module to your personal wellness plan and beyond.​​
Learning Objectives
1. Define the terms 'mind-body connection' and 'integrative mental health' and understand the difference between 'complementary' and 'alternative' in regards to mental health.
2. Describe the importance of utilizing evidence-based integrative approaches.
3. Understand how to evaluate quality of resources.
4. Describe how mindfulness, nutrition, movement, and other integrative methods can be incorporated into mental health treatment.
5. Access printable resources for supporting methods in item four.
6. Formulate integrative treatment plans, assessments, and goals for anxiety and depression diagnoses.
7. Demonstrate effective methods in choosing and applying integrative techniques in session with clients.
8. Practice at least five integrative techniques in your personal practice in order to better assist client sessions utilizing the integrative model.
9. Define 'scope of practice' and be proficient in how to ethically incorporate integrative methods with evidence and research.
10. Develop a plan to generate quality referrals and consultation for integrative services.
11. Understand current statistical trends in CAM treatments and techniques and prevalence of these methods in the mainstream mental/physical health fields.
12. Review the research of movement, mindfulness, and nutrition methods and the psychological/physical effects they can have.
13. Recognize the historical, cultural importance and application of mindfulness as well as the current, extensive research from the Western world surrounding this topic.
14. Understand the barriers that clients and clinicians can face regarding integrative methods due to factors like socioeconomic status, geography, pollution, racism, knowledge and perspective, support or lack thereof, etc. and how to address these barriers.
14. Review how to effectively and ethically refer out to qualified providers in other fields and understand the importance of collaboration and consultation when in comes to complementary methods.
14. Understand that the methods taught in this program are meant to be complementary to traditional treatment such as talk therapy, medication management, etc.

Juniper earned bachelor's and master's degrees in social work from the University of Louisville and is a licensed clinical social worker in Kentucky. Juniper holds certifications in various therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, grief therapy, and Crisis and Suicide First Response. Juniper co-founded Bridge Counseling and Wellness, a leading integrative mental health center in Louisville. She has also taught at the Kent School of Social Work, teaching Human Behavior and the Social Environment, and currently focuses on educational facilitation at the Academy. She is the creator and one of the hosts of the Conscious Mental Health Podcast, where she provides educational content in the field of mental health, focusing on the person-in-environment perspective. Her clinical expertise includes a range of therapeutic approaches, particularly in the treatment of anxiety and crisis work.
Nicole Sartini has been practicing therapy professionally since 2010 and working in the field as a non-professional since 1999. Sartini’s specialty is helping adults on the awakening path manage the waves of unlearning old familial, environmental, and societal conditioning and find true self freedom and deep healing through the process of tuning in and connecting with the core of their beingness. As a Mental Health Counselor and Psychotherapist, Sartini’s counseling practice involves integrating traditional talk therapy with mind-body-soul work through meditation, movement, nutrition and deep inner work. She practices clinically at Bridge Counseling and Wellness, an integrative mental health and wellness center in Louisville, KY, where she’s Co-founder and Executive Director. She is also the Co-founder of The Academy of Integrative Mental Health, the 3-Core Integrative (3CI) certification training for integrative mental health professionals and founder of Edenside Sanctuary.

Laurel Sims-Stewart

Laurel is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and supervisor with her master’s in Art Therapy. She is the recipient of the 2019 Bridge to Light award for Child Counseling and Support. In her work with the Academy, Laurel focuses on content production, training, and resource development. Laurel specializes in the treatment of trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, and life stage transitions. Throughout her time in practice, she has always gravitated toward an integrative, systemic, and insight-based approach. She most often utilizes narrative, somatic, psychodynamic, and expressive techniques that incorporate both mindfulness and psychoeducation. She encourages all of her clients to take an active role in writing the narrative of their life by including elements of mind, body, and spirit throughout.
Stephanie (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, as well as a Certified Brainspotting Practitioner. She received an M.A. in Professional Counseling from McKendree University in Illinois, and recently received a post-graduate certificate in Couple’s Therapy. Stephanie began her career helping teens and their families in crisis situations. Later, she worked at a community mental health facility serving both mental health and substance abuse clients. She has worked with a diverse population of individuals, couples and families.
